Healthcare Refurbishments

The refurbishment of a nursing home, run by Cleeve Hill Healthcare Ltd in Gloucestershire, meant that their kitchen was out of use for over six months.

The equipment we supplied:

• Companion unit, which measures 4.6m x 2.9m; and
• Commander kitchen, which measures 7.6m x 2.9m

The Commander kitchen for Cleeve Hill was supplied with a six burner range with double oven, a double basket fryer, a salamander grill, upright fridge and freezer and preparation tables. The Companion unit was supplied with a hood lift dishwasher facility and all dishwashing accessories. Both units as standard have double sinks and hand wash basins with integral water heaters. To allow for easy delivery of the meals to the residents, a custom link was installed connecting both the temporary facility and main building.

The Companion and Commander units were used to effectively maintain the existing services and prevent residents from being affected by the refurbishments. With the benefit of being able to use the equipment within just one hour of delivery, Dawsongroup temporary kitchens are ideal for care homes, large/remote construction sites and educational establishments.

The units provided to the Cleeve Hill nursing home allowed staff to carry on catering for their residents needs around the clock, whilst the long-term refurbishment programme and extension to the nursing home continued. The nursing home which provides a specialist menu was maintained to a high standard.
