Case Study: Quarry Farm Shop
Quarry Farm Shop is a family run business in Herefordshire, specialising in providing naturally produced, quality meat and stocking a wide range of local fresh products.
With the view of expanding the family farm shop, Richard Jones approached Dawsongroup for a bespoke catering facility that would enable his mother to prepare more home-cooked produce.
Richard, who runs the farm shop, came to visit Dawsongroup to view the kitchen facilities available for purchase. Dawsongroup gave Richard a complete site tour, giving him the opportunity to look at the different options available.
Following the visit, Richard decided to purchase a suitable kitchen facility and made further arrangements with Dawsongroup to undertake a comprehensive site survey at the farm. The assessment identified limited site access and overhead power cables meaning a conventional lift was not suitable, and an alternative vehicle was arranged.
Following prompt approval of a detailed quotation and technical drawings, Dawsongroup agreed a suitable delivery date with the customer. The temporary kitchen was fully cleaned, electrically checked and run under full working conditions prior to leaving site. Dawsongroup installed the Commander kitchen facility which included a hand wash sink, double bowl sink and an integrated water heater, in just two days. This included incorporating the existing foundations, by building a food-safe ramped link between the kitchen and existing preparation room.
'For anyone who is looking for a temporary or permanent catering facility, this is the ideal situation.'
