How much does it cost to hire a temporary kitchen?

Each hire is different and because of this, we need to gather various bits of information from you before we can give you an accurate quotation. We need to know the equipment you would like, the length of hire and several other factors. Once this information has been gathered, a quote can be calculated.

How are the temporary kitchens delivered?

The kitchens come delivered fully fitted and ready to go using special equipment. We employ HIAB trucks, which have a mounted hydraulic crane easily capable of loading and unloading our filled kitchen units. HIAB truck mounted cranes are a cost effective delivery solution for all industries and deliveries, whether its large construction companies to schools and care homes.

What if I want the temporary kitchen for longer than previously agreed?

The option to extend the hire is given to all our clients, simply let us know and we’ll get that arranged.

What equipment do you offer?

We offer a wide range of catering equipment including combi-ovens, fryers, microwaves, bain marie hot cupboards and 6 ring burners to name a few. We also offer a complete range of ware washing and cold storage equipment. Dishwashers, stainless steel preparation tables, hand wash basins, fridges and freezers are all available. If you require something we don’t have, we’ll get it for you.

Do you carry out site surveys?

We do. Our site surveys are free of charge and carried out by our experienced staff. These help us ascertain what potential issues we may face and allow us to plan and make changes accordingly. For example, if a kitchen unit is being installed on a slope or if there are any gates/walls that must be overcome.

Does the site have to be ‘made ready’ for the arrival of the temporary kitchen?

Our installation specialists will advise of any site works that may need to be carried out during a site visit.

What is the minimum rental term?

A temporary kitchen can be rented from just 1 week. This short period is perfect for anyone hiring a kitchen as an emergency response as a result of a fire for example.

Do you sell kitchens and catering equipment?

Yes we do. We have a variety of kitchen sizes and equipment for sale. Give us a call for more information on what we have to offer.

Do I need to provide anything when hiring a temporary kitchen?

In most cases, you will need to provide a power source and water supply. A gas supply will also need to be provided, however most customer opt to have us provide the gas cylinders and cages for the hire.

Do I need planning permission?

Whether planning permission is needed will vary depending on location. We do not submit planning applications on behalf of our clients so we would recommend you check with your local council before proceeding with a hire.

Can I choose the kitchen layout?

Absolutely. Our kitchens start as empty shells, which you fill with whatever equipment you need and in whatever position (providing the right sockets are available). If one unit isn’t enough for you, we can provide full catering complexes, complete with weatherproof links and canteen areas.

Can you provide CAD drawings?

Yes we can. These can be incorporated into site plans, show unit elevations and equipment layouts.

Are your hires/sales restricted to the UK?

Not at all, our kitchens have travelled as far as West Africa.
